How it works

1. Initial Consultation

Begin with a complimentary 15-minute phone call where we discuss your loved one's story, your goals for the recording, and answer any questions you may have. We'll help you select the package that best fits your vision and explain what to expect throughout the process.

2. Virtual Pre-Recording Planning Session

Once you've selected a package, we'll schedule a 1-hour virtual planning session via Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, or your preferred video platform. As the purchaser, you'll facilitate this virtual meeting that includes your loved one. During this conversation, we'll explore potential themes, identify key stories you want to capture, discuss which photos or mementos to include, and address any concerns. This preparation ensures the recording session flows naturally and captures the most meaningful moments.

3. Scheduling

We coordinate with you and the retirement community to schedule your recording session. Your loved one will enjoy the comfort and convenience of being interviewed in their familiar surroundings, creating a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

4. The Recording Day

Our professional team arrives at the retirement community with all necessary equipment to create a comfortable, enjoyable experience:

• We'll set up in a designated area within the community
• Our team includes a makeup artist who will ensure your loved one looks and feels their best on their big day
• Our experienced interviewer will guide the conversation naturally, making the process enjoyable
• We'll capture behind-the-scenes photos throughout the session
• We encourage one or two family members to attend the recording to help your loved one feel more comfortable and prompt memories if needed
• The entire recording typically takes 90 minutes

5. Sharing Photos and Mementos

Upon booking, you'll receive access to a secure DropBox folder specifically for your project. We ask that you upload high-quality digital photos of important mementos, rather than bringing irreplaceable original items to the recording session. These digital images will be seamlessly integrated into the final video at appropriate moments.

6. Production

Following the recording session, our team transforms the raw footage into a polished, professional video:

• We carefully select the most compelling stories and moments
• Photos and mementos are integrated at appropriate points
• Professional color correction and audio enhancement ensure optimal quality
• The final video is crafted to be 30-45 minutes in length, perfect for sharing and revisiting

7. Delivery

Within three weeks, you'll receive:

• Access to your completed legacy video through a secure DropBox folder
• Your video hosted on the Living Legacy TV Rumble channel for easy sharing with family and friends (available for at least one year)
• 10 behind-the-scenes photos delivered via DropBox
• A simple guide for sharing your video with family members near and far
• You'll have full rights to post the video to other platforms like YouTube or Vimeo if desired

8. Preserving the Legacy

Your family's stories are now preserved for generations to come. Many families choose to share their videos at family gatherings, milestone celebrations, or simply enjoy them as cherished keepsakes that can be revisited time and again.
